After years of building a reputation as high-energy live performers, Dutch hip-hop duo Double Trouble is taking a new direction with their long-awaited debut release: Open House EP, set to drop on December 18, 2025. The EP features six tracks and serves as a musical introduction, offering an inside look into what the duo is truly capable of, a literal and figurative peek into their creative world.
The sound of Open House EP is deeply rooted in the golden era of hip-hop: the late ’80s and early ’90s. Raw drums, soulful samples, and a direct, distinctive flow form the foundation of the project. The entire EP was recorded in Leeuwarden and Drachten, where the duo successfully captured the vintage hip-hop vibe.
Ahead of the EP release, the first single, “Let’s Get It On,” will drop on December 11, 2025. The title perfectly encapsulates Double Trouble’s mindset: it’s time to show the world what they’ve been working on all these years.
With Open House EP, Double Trouble takes a bold and decisive step forward in their artistic journey, evolving from live icons to full-fledged studio creators. The door is open. The house is ready. And everyone is invited inside.
It’s a demo is the brand new single of the Dutch Hip Hop duo Double Trouble. The two are bringing back memories with this track as they pay homage to Hip Hop’s history. With this ‘demo’ they are showing the people what they’ve got in store and what to expect from the upcoming Double Trouble album. The video is directed by Karim Ouri and is shot on 8mm to give the video the same oldskool feel as the track.
